There is a huge amount of IT expertise out there just being wasted, or at least going untapped. There are people like me who could benefit from this experience. Often increased spare time is directly proportional to decreased spare capital. IT software providers see the IT market as the Golden Goose and "rip-off" is never far away. How many times have we bought software to find that the purchase price is not that but only the first years subscription. To be reapeted annually. How many times have we bought software to find what appears to be suitable in the box description does not deliver on the PC. I am sure there is a small army of members who have tested, used and retained or rejected software. Knowledge which could be invaluable to others. Would it be possible for members to report on the knowledge and experience. Or for readers to raise particular software projects and a consesus derived from members. A "Which" style of product testing. Obviously in the form of Internet activity and not through the magazine.
